Shoemaker-Levy is a comet that got pulled into Jupiter and crashed into it. It broke apart by how strong it was. Shoemaker-Levy was equivalently 6,000,000 Megatons of TNT! They were discovered by Carolyn S. Shoemaker, Eugene Merle Shoemaker, and David Levy. It collided with Jupiter in in July 1994. you can even see it with a naked eye.
